Leather Fresh is a water-based base for creating a custom tint, suitable for refreshing and re-tinting slightly faded leather.

For car leather:
Ask your dealer for the exact color name using your VIN. It's important that you are given a color name, not a color code. Unfortunately, we cannot determine a color based on the model and year.


Application Instructions
Important: Please test all products on an inconspicuous area first to rule out any unwanted changes to the leather. The leather should also be dry and free of dirt and grease before dyeing.

Dyeing with Leather Fresh – Color Refresh for Your Leather

Step 1:
Use Leather Cleaner to pre-clean the leather in the areas where the color is intact. Leather Cleaner is excellent for removing normal dirt. If the imperfections are mainly in the grain of light-colored leathers, you should definitely use our soft brush.

Tip: A sponge and brush are the best tools for cleaning. Remove cleaning residue with a slightly damp cloth.

Step 2:
Use the degreaser to degrease the areas to be repaired and remove old conditioner residue that the Leather Cleaner doesn't dissolve. This is important so that the color refreshers adhere well with Leather Fresh. Especially in areas that come into contact with the skin, you must always degrease additionally before applying Leather Fresh.

Tip: If you're unsure whether the leather is sufficiently degreased, stick masking tape to the surface. If it's difficult to remove, the leather is properly degreased.

Step 3:
Before repairing or coloring, you must smooth any rough areas caused by wear with the sanding pad . To do this, place the sanding pad on the damaged area and sand it smooth again – without applying much pressure.

Tip: Remove the sanding dust with a cloth dampened with degreaser.

Step 4:
Next, the color damage is touched up with Leather Fresh in a matching color and dried with a hairdryer. Leather Fresh will not stain clothing after drying.

The tint refreshes the color of scratches, scuffs, wear and tear, and cracks caused by drying.

Shake Leather Fresh well before use and apply it to the leather with a sponge, using a circular or dabbing motion. For larger areas, work from seam to seam. In areas requiring opaque coloring, apply the tint several times, dabbing it on and drying it with a hairdryer (not too hot!) in between applications.

Tip: Uneven application can be corrected with the Sanding Pad and then tinted again.

Step 5:
Finally, you should condition and protect your leather. It is important to do this step one day after tinting. The Leather Fresh should be completely dry before coming into contact with any liquid, and the conditioner should be applied gently, without rubbing.

Use Leather Care to condition and preserve the result. Leather Care protects the leather by re-oiling it (keeping it soft), UV filters (preventing fading), and antioxidants (preventing deterioration). Apply Leather Shield

to high-wear/stress areas a few days after applying Leather Care . Wear and tear and color fading caused by friction are reduced in this area. Leather Shield also reduces abrasion from hand oils, skin oils, and sweat in areas of skin contact, protecting the leather from these effects. We particularly recommend this product for light-colored leathers, as it also protects against color transfer from contact with dark materials. Tip: First, apply the care product sparingly to a cloth and then work it onto the leather in a circular motion, from seam to seam. Excess product can be removed with a slightly damp cloth. Regular and economical cleaning and care will extend the life of your leather! Tip: If the color application is uneven, you can carefully even it out with a sanding pad and then touch it up. Our Leather Fresh can also be used on synthetic leather and plastics without any problems. Important: Leather Fresh is only suitable for refreshing the color of small areas. For seams that are a different color, we recommend using COLOURLOCK Stitch Covering Gel 20 ml .
